Lauro Ayestarán, Carlos Vega, y las dos orillas del Río de la Plata
Keywords:
Ayestarán Fernández, Lauro Sebastián, 1913-1966; MUSICOLOGIA; Vega, Carlos, 1898-1966Abstract
The text explores the dialog between the two founding figures of the musicology in Argentina and Uruguay - Vega as teacher and Ayestarán as disciple, and both as friends. The rich correspondence maintained for nearly three decades allows to observe different characteristics of their personalities, focused obsessively on rigor and on devotion, but not excluding humor and tenderness. Observations are added on the complex relationship of both musicologists with other personalities of the Argentinian musical milieu.
