Resumen

 In order to analyze which is Héctor Viel Temperley’s place within Argentine literature, we propose to go through the edition and re-edition of his work, as well as the space he is given in poetic anthologies. Surprisingly, we have found some outstanding characteristics that come to deny his alleged absence in the national canon. On the other hand, we intend to show certain elements that illuminate some areas that have not been thoroughly studied. We shall also consider his inspiring role as an icon for younger generations of poets.
